“I’ve lived through a lifetime of emotions: laughter, anger, and sadness” -Tochi
Daughter of Late CEO of Access Bank Plc, Herbert Wigwe has expressed her feelings over death of her father, mother and brother a year ago in a helicopter crash, saying she was facing a lifetime of emotions, laughter, anger and sadness.
In a memorial post, the late banker’s daughter, Tochi Wigwe however noted that she was rediscovering whom she was, while embracing the strength she needed to become a solid foundation for her younger siblings.
“It has been a year since I lost the 3 greatest pillars in my life: my father, mother and brother. In the last 12 months, I’ve lived through a lifetime of emotions: laughter, anger, and sadness.
I’ve grappled with the challenge of finding my way back to happiness, rediscovering who I am, and embracing the strength I need to become a solid foundation for my younger siblings”, Tochi stated in her tribute to her parents and brother who passed away in in 2024.
Recall that Herbert Wigwe, tragically died in a helicopter crash on February 9, 2024, along with his wife, Chizoba, and their son, Chizi. He is survived by three children, including his eldest child, Tochi, who has been actively involved in honoring his father’s legacy.
Recently, Tochi was in the news for delivering a moving speech at the maiden matriculation ceremony of Wigwe University, an institution founded by his late father.
Herbert Wigwe’s surviving children have also filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the helicopter company in a California court, seeking damages for the loss of their loved ones.
