# NEW MERCIES DAILY!

MESSAGE TITLE:
What You Refuse To Kill Today May Rise Against You Tomorrow

DATE:20/02/25

BY:EFFIONG ETOK
Carrier of God’s Word

SCRIPTURE TEXT:

Esther 3:1 – “After these things King Ahasuerus promoted Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him and set his seat above all the princes who were with him.”

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:

Disobedience today can birth destruction tomorrow. The battles we ignore, the sins we tolerate, and the generational enemies we fail to confront can rise in another season with greater force.

INTRODUCTION:

In 1 Samuel 15, God commanded King Saul to utterly destroy the Amalekites, including King Agag. Yet Saul spared Agag, allowing his lineage to survive. Centuries later, Haman the Agagite arose as a bitter enemy of the Jews, plotting their total annihilation.

Saul’s failure to fully obey God resulted in a future enemy with greater power and deeper hatred.

How many of us today are suffering because something was left unfinished in our past generations?
How many battles are we facing because someone before us refused to fight?

MAIN MESSAGE:

1. HAMAN: A PRODUCT OF AN UNFINISHED WAR.

1 Samuel 15:8 -“He took Agag, king of the Amalekites, alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.”

Haman, who was called an Agagite (Esther 3:1), was traced to Agag-the descendant of the Amalekite king that Saul refused to kill.

•Had Saul fully obeyed, Haman would never have been born.

Lesson: What we refuse to deal with in one generation may rise stronger in the next.

2. THE DEPTH OF HAMAN’S HATRED FOR THE JEWS.

Esther 3:5-6 -“When Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow… he was filled with wrath. But he disdained to lay hands on Mordecai alone. Instead, Haman sought to destroy all the Jews throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus.”

This was not just anger-it was a deep-rooted, generational hatred. God saw the danger, but King Saul’s disobedience paved the way for innocent generations to fight a battle they never started!

Lesson: Some battles are not personal-they are ancestral and spiritual. We must fight them spiritually before they destroy us.

PRAYER POINTS
1.O Lord, just as you foiled the evil plot of haman aimed at exterminating Mordecai and the entire Jewish people, please foil every evil plan against my life and my family, in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen!”
” Let every ‘Haman’ in my life be exposed and overthrown! every hidden battle from my ancestors, waiting to consume me, o god, arise and silence them forever, in Jesus Mighty name. Amen!”

2. “Father, whatever curse that was left unbroken, whatever battle that was left unfought, as you fought for Esther, Mordecai, and the entire jewish people, please lord, fight for me and my family, in Jesus Mighty name. Amen!”
“Lord, separate me and my family from every consequence of the disobedience of those before us, in Jesus’ Mighty name. Amen!”
