Nigerian governors elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, have vowed to challenge in the court of law, the suspension of their colleague and governor of Rivers State, Sir Sim Fubara by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The position of the twelve (12) PDP governors was disclosed by the Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Seyi Makinde.
According to the Oyo governor, this decision was reached yesterday at the emergency PDP Governors’ Forum meeting, where the governors unanimously decided to challenge what they referred to as “illegality and presidential rascality”
Makinde stressed further that irrespective of feelings and loyalties, democracy must be protected at all costs, adding that the governor’s and legislature’s suspension was illegal.
