TRAGIC! Five die, others injured as driver reportedly sleeps on steering
This afternoon, a bus belonging to the Ebonyi State Transport Corporation was involved in a fatal accident along the Port Harcourt-Enugu Expressway (Ohiya Mechanic Village axis). The ill-fated bus reportedly somersaulted multiple times, resulting in the tragic loss of five lives.
According to reports, the driver, who sustained only minor injuries, fell asleep at the wheel. Other survivors of the crash are currently receiving treatment at FMC Umuahia, while the bodies of the victims have been taken to the FMC Morgue.
