Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress, Tiwa Savage has sent a strong warning to younger suitors seeking her hands in marriage, telling them to refrain from pursuing her.
Tiwa who would turn 45 years old in February this year, was relieving her experience while dating music star, but younger Wizkid, saying her decision to date him was a mistake.
“I acknowledge that my choice to date Wizkid was a significant mistake. Generally, I don’t pursue romantic relationships with men younger than me, and my experience with him resulted in numerous instances of disrespect”,says Tiwa Savage.
She further said “Wizkid is a kind individual, but our romance proved to be ill-fated due to our considerable age difference. It’s common for women to face disrespect for dating younger partners while men receive praise for dating older women. I often receive messages from young fans wanting to marry me, but I don’t take those advances to heart”.
The talented and influential artiste did not however hide her interest going into a relationship but insisted that such men must be between fiftees and sixtees with financial stability.
Tiwa said “Right now, I’m looking for a partner in his 50s or 60s who has the financial stability to contribute to my happiness. The backlash I experienced on social media for dating someone younger has made me cautious, I’m no longer interested in dating anyone in their 20s or 30s. I’ve transformed into a new version of myself and expect to be treated with respect.
Therefore, I kindly ask younger individuals to refrain from pursuing me.
