# New Mercies Daily!

MESSAGE TITLE:

DATE: 30/01/25

YOUR WORD CARRIER

SCRIPTURE TEXT:Mark 4:38-39 (KJV) says:

38 “… Master, carest thou not that we perish?
39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

Thought for the Day:
The storm may roar and the waves may crash, but your Savior is closer than the storm. His presence is your anchor, and His peace is your calm.

Introduction:
Beloved, have you ever been caught in a storm so fierce that it felt like it would consume you? The winds of uncertainty howl, the waves of fear rise, and the darkness of despair seems to close in. Have you cried out to God and wondered, “Lord, do You see me? Do You care if I drown?”

This was the cry of the disciples in Mark 4. Their boat was battered by the waves, and their hearts were filled with fear. But in their panic, they forgot one crucial truth: Jesus was in the boat. And when they called on Him, He arose, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, “Peace, be still.” In that moment, the storm obeyed.

Message:
Child of God, listen to me: storms are a part of life. They come in many forms-financial struggles, health crises, broken relationships…-but hear this: the presence of the storm does not mean the absence of your Savior.

The disciples were terrified because they focused on the storm instead of Jesus. But as long as Jesus is in your boat, you cannot sink. The winds may rage, the waves may rise, but your Savior is closer than the chaos. His presence guarantees your safety.

Let me ask you: what storm are you facing today? Are you overwhelmed by fear, or are you anchored in faith? The storm may seem powerful, but the One who commands the wind and waves is greater. He will not let you drown, say Amen.

The storm is not meant to destroy you-it’s meant to deepen your faith. It reveals His sovereignty and teaches you to trust His plan. Jesus is not just aware of your storm; He is in the storm with you.

Reflection:

This passage highlights Jesus’ authority over nature and serves as a powerful reminder of His sovereignty even in the storms of life. The disciples, overwhelmed by fear, questioned His care for them, but Jesus demonstrated His power by calming the storm with just His words. This teaches us to trust in Christ’s presence and power, knowing that no storm-whether literal or metaphorical-is beyond His control. If you trust Him ,say Amen!

Prayer Moment!
Oh Lord,I come before You today, acknowledging You -Master over the storms of life. Just as You calmed the raging sea with Your words, I declare that every storm in my life, my family, and in the lives of those around me be still in Jesus’ name!
Lord, there are times when I feel overwhelmed, just like the disciples in the boat. Fear creeps in, doubts arise, and it seems like You are silent. But today, I choose faith over fear. I choose to trust that You are always present, even when it seems like You are asleep. Your silence is never indifference; it is an invitation to believe in Your power!
Lord Jesus, arise in my life!
•Rebuke every storm of sickness, financial hardship, depression, confusion, and spiritual dryness….
•Speak peace into my mind, my heart, and my circumstances.
•Let every raging wind that has risen against my life, my family, my health, and my destiny cease immediately in the name of Jesus!
•Lord, lift up those who are struggling-those who feel like they are drowning in life’s problems. Reach out to them, O God! Let Your love rescue them. Let Your peace sustain them. Let Your power lift them up, in Jesus Mighty name. Amen!
