Don’t Underestimate God

Thought for the Day:
God can use anything that is surrendered-even the part of you that feels too small.
Message:
Why do we look down on ourselves just because we don’t look like what the world expects?
Why do we keep trying to be “enough” for people-when all God needs is our surrender?
Moses was not a perfect man. He stammered. He had a past. And when God called him, all he had was a stick-a dry, ordinary rod used to herd sheep.
But God asked him, “What is in your hand?”
When Moses dropped the rod in obedience, something powerful happened. It became a sign. Not because the rod changed-but because surrender happened.
That’s what we forget.
We think God only uses the strong, the loud, the talented.
But in truth, God uses whatever we give Him-even if it’s broken or forgotten.
Now look at Jesus.
When He came to choose the men who would shake the world, He didn’t go to kings or scholars.
He went to fishermen. Rough men. Smelly men. Men who weren’t accepted by the religious leaders. But Jesus saw something the world didn’t-hearts that could be transformed.
So what if all you have is a painful past?
What if you’re still holding “just a stick”?
Can you trust God with it?
The same God who used Moses’ rod to part the sea…
The same Jesus who used fishermen to preach the Gospel…
Is still using the weak, the overlooked, and the surrendered.
And He wants to use you.
Takeaway:
Stop hiding what you think is too small.
That thing you’ve been ashamed of-that “stick” in your hand-could be the very tool God will use to show His glory.
Don’t wait to be perfect. Don’t wait to be celebrated.
Lay it down. Let Him breathe on it. And let your story become a sign.
Closing Prayer Points:
1. Lord, I lay my rod at Your feet-my shame, my fear, my weakness-breathe upon it and use it for Your glory, in Jesus’ Mighty Name.
2. Jesus, break every lie that tells me I’m not enough. Help me see the miracle You’ve placed in what I’ve tried to hide, in Jesus’ Mighty Name.
3. Oh God of mercy, turn my nothingness into a testimony that will draw souls to Your heart, in Jesus’ Mighty Name.
