MESSAGE TITLE: The Hidden Agenda Behind Your Battles
DATE: 14/02/25

BY: EFFIONG ETOK
CARRIER OF GOD’S WORD

SCRIPTURE TEXT :
Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY :

Battles don’t come without reason. The enemy doesn’t fight what is insignificant. If you’re facing unusual battles, it’s because of the unusual destiny you carry.

INTRODUCTION:
Have you ever wondered, Why me? Why the endless opposition? Let me tell you something, child of God: The battles you face are not random-they have a hidden agenda. The enemy isn’t fighting you because of your past; he’s fighting you because of your future. Destiny attracts battles, and the greater the assignment, the fiercer the resistance.

The fingerprints of God on your life have made you a target. But here’s the good news: If God ordained your destiny, no battle can cancel it!

MAIN MESSAGE:
1. JOSEPH: FOUGHT BECAUSE OF HIS DREAMS. (Genesis 37:5-20)
Joseph didn’t ask for his dreams-God gave them to him. Yet the moment he shared them, his brothers hated him. Why? Because his dreams revealed his future greatness.

The pit, slavery, and prison were not about his past as a shepherd-they were about his future as a prime minister who would save nations. Why do you think you face strange battles when you step into purpose? The enemy sees a dreamer in you and wants to abort that destiny. But just as the pit couldn’t stop Joseph, no battle can stop you if you stay aligned with God , in Jesus Mighty name.! Amen.

2. MOSES: FOUGHT BEFORE HE COULD WALK. (Exodus 1:15-22)
Moses was born into a death sentence. Pharaoh didn’t fear the Hebrew babies; he feared the deliverer among them. Moses was a future liberator, destined to break 400 years of bondage. The enemy knew that if Moses lived, Egypt’s oppression would end. Why have you fought battles since childhood? Because the enemy saw a deliverer in you. But just as Moses survived Pharaoh’s decree, so will you. God doesn’t abandon those He calls. Amen.

3. DAVID: FOUGHT FOR HIS KINGSHIP .(1 Samuel 16:13; 18:6-11)
David was anointed in private, yet immediately, public battles began. Saul hated him, not because of his past as a shepherd, but because of his future as a king. David carried the lineage of the Messiah, and the enemy saw that future and fought it. Why has your journey been marked by unusual warfare? Because the anointing on your life threatens hell’s agenda. But the wilderness couldn’t stop David’s coronation, and neither can your current battles stop your divine enthronement, in Jesus name. Amen.

4. ESTHER: FOUGHT FOR STRATEGIC POSITIONING (Esther 4:14)
Esther was an orphan with no significance, yet she was divinely positioned in the Persian palace. Haman’s plot against the Jews wasn’t political-it was spiritual. The enemy sought to annihilate the people through whom the Messiah would come. Esther’s boldness exposed that hidden agenda and saved her people. Who said your background disqualifies you? Esther proves that God uses unlikely vessels to fulfill unstoppable purposes.

5.MARY MAGDALENE : THE ENEMY FIGHTS THE VOICE OF TESTIMONY (Luke 8:2; John 20:16-18)
Mary Magdalene, once tormented by seven demons, was delivered by Jesus and became the first witness of His resurrection. The enemy fought her to silence her testimony, but God’s power transformed her past into a purpose-driven voice for the gospel.

TAKEAWAY:
Child of God, battles don’t come to ordinary people. The storms you face are indicators of your significance. The enemy isn’t after your past-he’s after your future. But like Joseph, Moses, David, and Esther, you will prevail because God’s plan is irreversible. Stay focused, stay prayerful, and remember: Your destiny is worth the fight.

PRAYER POINTS;
1.O Lord, the all-seeing and all-knowing God, arise in Your power! Let every hidden agenda behind the battles raging against my life be exposed, disgraced, and destroyed by fire, in Jesus’ name!

2.Oh Lord, just as You preserved Moses, elevated Joseph, defended David, and positioned Esther, and restored Mary Magdalene for a divine assignment-Lord, sustain Your prophetic declaration over my life,in Jesus Mighty name.!

3.Father, let me live to see the fulfillment of my glorious future. I refuse to be distracted like Samson, compromised like King Saul, or corrupted like Judas. May you secure my destiny in Your mighty hand,
in Jesus’ name! Amen.
