A newly constructed classroom block at St. Mary’s Secondary School, Ikot Nseyen Nkwot, in Ikono Local Government Area, was officially commissioned today. The project, which also houses a Staff room, was sponsored by the member representing Ikono-Ini Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo (PhD).
The commissioning was done on behalf of Hon. Ukpong-Udo by Barr. Edet Inyangidim, who restated the legislator’s dedication to fostering quality education and creating an enabling environment for students to learn effectively.
Speaking at the event, representatives of the school and community expressed their gratitude for the impactful initiative, noting that the classroom block will address the challenge of overcrowded classrooms and enhance the overall learning experience for the students. This development is one of the numerous interventions facilitated by Hon. Ukpong-Udo aimed at uplifting the standard of education by improving educational infrastructure in the constituency.
