President-elect of the United States of America, Mr. Donald Trump has called on his Republican Party to do whatever they could to help their arc-rival, Democratic Party in their difficult period.
The Former President who won the November 5, 2024 presidential election on the Republican Party platform, had the outgoing US Vice President and Presidential candidate of Democratic Party, Kamala Harris as his strong contender.
Soon after the election, there have been reports of the American current ruling party being plunged into huge debts.
“I am very surprised that the Democrats, who fought a hard and valiant fight in the 2020 Presidential Election, raising a record amount of money, didn’t have lots of $’s left over. Now they are being squeezed by vendors and others”, incoming US President said in a post published on his verified social media handles.
Appealing for help on the Democrats’ behalf, he continued “Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult period, I would strongly recommend we, as a Party and for the sake of desperately needed UNITY, do. We have a lot of money left over in that our biggest asset in the campaign was “Earned Media,” and that doesn’t cost very much. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
According to media reports “Claims are emerging that Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign is facing significant debt as it falters. Christopher Cadelago, the California bureau chief for Politico, reported on X that “Kamala Harris’s campaign concluded with at least $20 million in debt, according to two sources. She raised over $1 billion and had $118 million remaining as of October 16.”
“Additionally, Matthew Boyle from Breitbart shared further details from an unnamed campaign staffer who suggested a major scandal could warrant an audit. The staffer confirmed the $20 million debt and mentioned Rob Flaherty, the deputy campaign manager, is attempting to sell the fundraising list to recover funds.
“A source also claimed that a substantial amount was spent on celebrity concerts rather than essential campaign priorities. Furthermore, some former staff members are reportedly still waiting for overdue payments for their work. Newsweek attempted to verify these claims but could not confirm or receive a denial from the Harris campaign.
Senator Bernie Sanders attributed the campaign’s struggles not to spending but to messaging issues within the Democratic Party, while Representative Seth Moulton emphasized that Democrats need to better connect with everyday Americans’ concerns”.
