…accuses Nigeria Police of allegedly killing younger brother
Terkaa Dominic, elder brother to Late Terkaa Orseer has called on Civil Society Organisations and other justice advocates in Nigeria to help him ensure that justice was served against the Police officers for allegedly killing his younger brother.
In an ‘SOS’ circulated in the media, Dominic alleged that Terkaa Orseer who was arrested by the Police officers at Jato Aka on Sunday, was allegedly subjected to severe torture leading to his unconsciousness, ostensibly resulting in his death.
Details of Dominic’s letter read as follows:
“CALL FOR JUSTICE FOR MY YOUNGER BROTHER TERKAA ORSEER
The family of Terkaa Iortyer hereby with heavy heart solicit support from civil right activists, civil right organisations all who advocate for justice to help ensure that justice is served to their son and brother Terkaa Orseer who was gruesomely murdered by the Nigerian police officers at Jato Aka.
Terkaa Orseer was arrested by the Nigerian police on Sunday and since then have been receiving severe torture from the said officers without food nor drink until he became very weak and couldn’t speak, at that juncture they requested his father to the him to the hospital after observing how critical his state of health became, however the the father declined that since they have subjected the boy to such a severe torture, they should also take the boy to the hospital and take responsibility for whatever the outcome could be. After so much back and forth, the mother out of pity for her son decided to take him to the (NKST Hospital Jato Aka) where he gave up the ghost yesterday morning.
I hereby as an elder brother and on behalf of the bereaved family solicit support from the public to ensure justice is served to the Late Terkaa Orseer.
Rest in peace bro.
Terkaa Dominic
