Chief (Mrs.) Glory Ekpo-Oho, an accomplished administrator, strategic media consultant, and seasoned politician, has been appointed the Managing Director of the Cross River Basin Development Authority. Her vast experience in leadership, governance, and strategic planning is set to redefine the Authority’s mission and drive sustainable development initiatives in the region.

Known for her integrity, discipline, and team-oriented approach, Chief Ekpo-Oho has demonstrated a consistent track record of successfully executing leadership challenges. In the 2023 general elections, Chief Ekpo-Oho was the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer for Etinan Federal Constituency, further showcasing her active role in advancing democratic governance and representing her constituency’s interests.

Chief Ekpo-Oho holds a degree in Theatre & Media Arts (B.A/Hons), University Of Calabar (1985-1989) and has complemented her academic qualifications with extensive training in Masters, Business Administration (MBA), European American University, West Indies ~2017, International Proficiency Certificate in Strategic Management (Certified Top Strategic Manager CTSM), Strategic Business School, Lagos ~2005-2008. In leadership, governance, and strategic planning, making her a well-rounded and capable leader.

Chief Oho has served in two successive governments as Special Adviser on Political Affairs (2003-2007) to His Excellency, Arch Obong Victor Attah, former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, and as Special Adviser on Protocol (2008-2011) to His Excellency, Dr. Godswill Akpabio, during his tenure as Governor of Akwa Ibom State.

This appointment was made possible under the visionary leadership of Senator Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate, whose influence has opened doors for exceptional leaders to advance regional development. Chief Ekpo-Oho’s inauguration into office is scheduled to take place on Friday, marking the beginning of a transformative chapter for the Cross River Basin Development Authority.
