Armed men loyal to notorious bandit leader Bello Turji have reportedly invaded Fadamar Tara, a farming community in Zamfara State, displacing farmers and engaging local vigilante groups in fierce clashes.
Eyewitnesses reported that the gang forced farmers to flee the area as they sought to assert control over the community.
The vigilante groups, popularly known as yan Sakai, responded swiftly, confronting Turji’s gang in a bid to protect the locals and reclaim the area.
The confrontation has reportedly escalated, with both sides engaging in intense battles. Casualty figures remain unclear as of now,as the clash is still ongoing.
