Executive governor of Edo State, Sen. Monday Okpepholo has revealed that his journey through the upper chamber of the National Assembly had been an incredible journey of learning, growth and contribution.
Gov. Okpepholo who stated this after bowing out of the Nigerian Senate noted that it was an honour to have served the nation, while working along with remarkable colleagues in the Senate was a privilege.
Recall that Okpepholo, until his emergence penultimate month as Edo State governor, was a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a statement tagged “Today marks the conclusion of my journey as a senator”, Okpepholo said “As I vacate my seat in the Senate, I reflect on the honor of serving our great nation and the privilege of working alongside remarkable colleagues in this revered chamber. It has been an incredible journey of learning, growth, and contribution”.
While expressing his gratitude to his friends, colleagues and leaders which he acknowledged made his services possible, the new Edo governor maintained that he shall leverage on his memories, lessons and relationship in his new chapter.
“I am filled with gratitude for the support and friendship of my colleagues, the guidance of our leaders, and the trust of the people who made this possible.
As I step into a new chapter, I carry with me the lessons, memories, and relationships forged during this time.May God bless the Senate, and may God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria”
