My dear constituents, recall that I presented a petition against the Nigeria Police ( Marine ) on the unending cases of insecurity kidnappings and killings on the Bonny river; signed by Dr. Bara Kabaka Brown , Victor Abibo Jr. and Godpower Dan-jumbo to the House of Representatives on the 29th of October, 2024.
I’m glad to report that as a response to our petition, the Inspector General of Police has donated six gunboats to fight sea piracy along the Bonny river.
The six gunboats will be commissioned on Tuesday 18th February, 2025 at Abonnema wharf.
