The Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, Hon. Shehu Abdulrahman Babatunde Ladan is set to present 200 free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to young scholars of Ilorin West.
In a release signed by the Special Assistant to the Chairman on Media,Abdulgafar Abayomi, Hon. Ladan describes this initiatives as part of educational development which would boost the standard of students across the district of Ilorin West of Kwara State. He assures that once the applicants apply and attempt the screening, successful beneficiaries will be contacted accordingly.
The Chairman also explains that the gesture was part of his administration’s efforts to promote education and empower young people in Ilorin West local government area.
Hon. Ladan urges the prospective beneficiaries to make the best use of the opportunity, and strive for academic excellence.
The presentation of the JAMB scholarship is parts of the Chairman’s education support initiatives, which aims at providing support to students in the area. Among the educational programs earlier fulfilled by Hon.Ladan are WAEC Scholarship, students school fee supports, full scholarship of student to health tech and other institutions, construction of classrooms and provision of instructional materials to needing Schools.
