…appreciates Gov Umo Eno for the appointment
The newly sworn in Commissioner for Water Resources and Sanitation, Akwa Ibom State; Dr. Ubuo Effiong Ubuo has assured his kinsmen in Okobo local government area that he would do all within his capacity to justify the confidence reposed in him.
Dr. Ubuo who is also a former Chairman of Okobo LGA stated this on Monday, February 24, 2025 during a reception held in his honour after his swearing in as Honourable Commissioner.
The event which was held at the Government Primary School, Ekeya, had in attendance notable politicians including past and present political office holders, community leaders, women and youth groups as well as family members, associates and well wishers.
Addressing the crowd, the Honourable Commissioner, while thanking God for making everything right at His time, appreciated the state governor, Pastor Umo Eno for finding him fit to serve in the State Executive Council.
He promised that he would bring to bear his past experiences as Councillor and later, 
Council Chairman in the discharge of the functions of his newly assigned office.
While thanking his kinsmen and women for the show of love as expressed in their large turnout, Dr Ubuo pledged to interpret Gov Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda in a manner that would bring the dividends of democracy closer to the people.
Highpoints of the occasion was presentation of goodwill messages from the political class who took turns to thank the state governor for considering Okobo local government area for Commissionership, about ten years after.
