“I have received 400 threats”
By our correspondent
National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Felix Morka has denied threatening the life of Mr. Peter Obi.
Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra state was the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) during the 2023 presidential election.
Morka who gave clarification to his earlier statement on ARISE TV during an interview also alleged that he had documented evidence of threats to his life and those of members of his family.
Denying ever threatening Obi, Morka said during an interview with The Morning Show on Arise TV: “I did not threaten Peter Obi. Nothing I said in my interview with ARISE News even remotely suggests that I was asking for anything regarding Peter Obi. I only responded to a reference that described Peter Obi as a “prophet of doom” and a “Voodoo Economist.”
I supported this claim by stating that Obi has brought this on himself, implying that he deserves that label because he has crossed several lines of truth”.
The APC spokesperson alleged that Mr. Peter Obi’s supporters have threatened to kill him and members of his family.
“However, since my interview and Obi’s subsequent reaction, I have documented over 400 threats, 200 of which are death threats”.
It would be recalled that Mr. Morka had, during a live interview said, ” …at this point, Mr Obi has crossed the line, and whatever he gets, he needs to manage it”, a statement that has been regarded by Mr Peter Obi and his supporters as a threat to life.
