Focus On Infrastructure Under Gov Fubara’s Rivers State: Trans-Kalabari Road

 

 

It is no longer news that His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara was recently suspended from office as governor of Rivers State by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. His suspension and that of the Rivers State House of Assembly (RSHA) came as a result of a protracted faceoff between the executive and the legislature.

Gov Fubara was sworn in as governor of the oil-rich state on May 29, 2023, succeeding his former boss and now Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), His Excellency, Chief Nyesom Wike.

The focus of this series is to ex-ray some of the achievements recorded during his less than two years in office especially, in the areas of road infrastructure and other life-touching projects and programmes.

This episode takes a look at society-changing Transkalabari road. According to reports, this is one of the projects of the state which have allegedly been “gazetted for political manipulation of the people”.

The prayers of the direct and indirect beneficiaries of this project and many others is that his suspension does not bring an end to this life-changing road.

Majority of Rivers people pray that Sir Fubara would return soonest to continue in his infrastructural renaissance.
