In plight to effective health operations within the Rivers South East Senatorial District, setting the Bori Zonal Hospital with strategic locus at Bori in Khana local Government Area to easily facilitate healthcare delivery among the people of Opobo, Andoni, Khanna, Gokana, Tai, Eleme, and Oyigbo, constituting the Rivers South East senatorial District, a zonal Hospital was commissioned today Wednesday 12 March, 2025 by the Rivers State Government under the leadership of Sir Siminalayi Fubara.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the commissioner for Health Hon. Dr Adaeze Oreh in details mentioned that the hospital is equipped to facilitate a one hundred and five (105) bed capacity for both primary and secondary health facilities with the support building of Laundry, mortuary and staff quarters for housing twenty four (24) health personnel and their households.
In an address during the commissioning, the executive Governor of Rivers State, sir SIMINALAYI FUBARA urged everyone to remain supportive to the state government as his leadership prioritised “RIVERS FIRST”. He further briefed the audience on his access denied at the state assembly complex today while making efforts to implement the supreme court Judgement by presenting the 2025 appropriation bill to the speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly Rt. Hon Martins Amaewhule and others.
Speaking in an interview at the commissioning ceremony, the Ex-Chairman of Tai LGA Hon. Matthew Nenubari Dike urges everyone to remain committed to the leadership of Sir SIMINALAYI FUBARA as victory for the governor remains victory for all. In his further speech, Hon Matthew Nunubari Dike, condemned the act of Rt. Hon Martins Amaewhule and others who refused to comply with the governor for the presentation of the 2025 appropriation bill to the Rivers State House of Assembly.
