An electrician identified as Alison Obiajunwa was yesterday evening electrocuted in Obingwa area of Abia State while trying to change Transformer cable.
It was gathered that the late electrician didn’t wear safety kits when the tragic incident occured.
According to reports, the deceased electrician’s wife who died few weeks ago is still at the mortuary awaiting funeral.
Alison’s tragic but avoidable demise calls for concerns regarding safety measures by electricity workers in the face of recurring incidences of electrocutions in recent times.
As at the time of this report, the Electricity Distribution Company in Abia state has yet to issue a statement on this tragic incident.
