THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
What God has ordained for you cannot be permanently stolen or buried-dig again!
INTRODUCTION:
There are wells of blessings, favor, and inheritance that the enemy has covered, but God is calling you to dig again. Isaac faced opposition when he tried to access the wells his father Abraham once owned. The Philistines had stopped them, attempting to erase the legacy of his father. Yet Isaac did not give up-he dug again, and water flowed. What has been covered in your life? What promises seem buried? God is saying: Do not quit-dig again!
MAIN MESSAGE:
Isaac’s wells were not new; they were part of a divine inheritance passed down from Abraham. But the enemy had covered them, trying to erase his access to that blessing. Yet Isaac did not walk away-he refused to let opposition silence the flow of his destiny.
Genesis 26:18 tells us, “Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father.” This teaches us that some blessings require persistence. Just because the enemy has blocked something does not mean it is lost-it means you must press forward in faith.
Isaac’s first attempt met resistance. The herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with him over the well he dug, so he named it Esek (which means “contention”). He moved on and dug another, but they fought over that too, and he named it Sitnah (which means “hatred”). Yet Isaac did not stop-he dug again, and this time, there was no opposition. He named it Rehoboth, saying, “For now the Lord hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land” (Genesis 26:22).
This is a prophetic message: your opposition is not the end; it is a sign that your inheritance is valuable. The enemy does not fight empty wells-he only fights wells that hold promise. If Isaac had stopped digging, he would never have reached Rehoboth, the place of divine expansion.
Many people have abandoned their spiritual inheritance because of opposition. Some have given up on ministries, businesses, and destinies because the enemy covered their wells. But God is saying: Dig again! Keep pushing in prayer, keep fasting, keep believing-your well is waiting!
Even Jesus faced opposition. His death on the cross seemed like a covered well, but on the third day, He rose again! The enemy thought he had buried the Living Water, but God always has the final say. If Christ overcame, then your buried well can flow again.
REFLECTION & TAKEAWAY:
What have you allowed the enemy to cover in your life? It is time to dig again!
Just because there is opposition does not mean it is not yours-Isaac had to fight before reaching Rehoboth.
Every battle over your well is proof that something great lies beneath. Do not give up!
Keep digging in faith, for in due time, your well will flow again.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, revive every well of blessing, favor, and breakthrough that the enemy has covered in my life, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen!
2. Lord, give me the strength to persevere and keep digging, even when opposition arises, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen!
3. Father, take me to my Rehoboth-the place of divine expansion and fruitfulness, where no enemy can stop my blessing, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen!
