Messages of Appreciation to His Excellency; Gov Umo Eno, and Felicitations to Prof. Ubong Essien on the Commissionership Nomination
We the Executive and members of History and International Studies Postgraduate Students Assembly (HISPSA), University of Uyo, Uyo, write to heartily felicitate with our Head of Department (HOD), Prof. Ubong Essien on his well-deserved nomination as Honourable Commissioner by the governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, Ph.D.
We wish to specially thank His Excellency, The Governor for finding our amiable Professor fit as member of his cabinet. By this appointment, His Excellency has once again demonstrated his belief in capacity and dynamism.
We wish to state that this appointment has not come to us by surprise given the Military Historian’s humility, dedication and commitment to his duties.
As the Head of Department of History and International Studies, University of Uyo, he has never been found wanting in the discharge of his academic and administrative responsibilities.
We are confident that our amiable Prof will bring to bear his vast wealth of experience in administering the functions of his new office with a view to helping the governor to realize his dreams as enshrined in his ARISE Agenda for the state.
