…regrets making wrong choice
Veteran Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike has cleared the air on why he didn’t marry his screen goddess colleague and kinswoman, Genevieve Nnaji, saying he was ill-advised.
Ike, who was quoted in a recent statement however regretted getting married to a “wrong choice” whom he claimed nearly ruined him financially.
Ike said “We fell in love while filming True Love. Our on-screen chemistry became real, and we could feel the spark between us growing stronger with each scene.
“Being from the same state in Nigeria, we were both at the peak of our careers. But people convinced me that marrying an actress wasn’t a good idea, saying she was always in the spotlight.”
Revealing his real love for the talented actress and the probability of a future relationship, Emeka Ike retorted “I made the wrong choice, marrying someone who nearly ruined me financially.
“If I could go back, I’d choose Genevieve Nnaji, my true love.”
