The Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly, Sen Ned Nwoko has officially decamped from his former party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Our paper gathered from reliable source that the lawmaker declared his decamping to the APC today in his hometown.
With Sen Nwoko’s defection, all the three (3) Senators from Delta State in the Red chamber all belong to the ruling APC, a situation described by political pundits as first of its kind.
Delta state is currently ruled by the PDP and has been so since the return of democracy in 1999.
Our paper also gathered that Ned Nwoko’s defection is not unconnected with 2027 governorship election of the oil-rich Niger Delta state.
