Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has announced a whopping ten million Naira (N10,000,000.00) reward for anyone who provides credible information leading to the capture of the gunmen responsible for a deadly attack in Ihiala that claimed the lives of at least seven people.
The attack, which occurred on Monday, targeted a funeral gathering, leaving five security operatives and two civilians dead.
The gunmen also attacked security personnel stationed near the local government headquarters, causing widespread panic and chaos.
Governor Soludo has vowed to take decisive action to combat criminal activity in the state, calling on community leaders and residents to support the government’s efforts by sharing information about the culprits.
He also urged traditional rulers, presidents-general, and other community leaders to step up in the fight against crime in the region.
“The people who carried out this crime, their lineage will never know peace,” Governor Soludo declared. “We must not let this happen again. We must rise as a united community and put an end to these senseless acts of violence”.
The governor’s call for unity and vigilance comes at a critical time, as the state grapples with rising criminal activities.
By offering the substantial reward, Governor Soludo hopes to encourage individuals with information to come forward and help bring justice to the victims and their families.
