‘…created 17 million new jobs’

Former President of the United States of America (USA), Mr. Barack Obama has paid glowing tributes to his former Vice President and outgoing President, Mr. Joe Biden, thanking him for friendship and good leadership.
Obama who laid bare his mind in a short but heartfelt ‘appreciation’ he personally penned reminisced on President Biden’s “… world’s strongest recovery”, which he noted led to 17 million new jobs.
“Four years ago, in the middle of a pandemic, we needed a leader with the character to put politics aside and do what was right. That’s what Joe Biden did”, the first black US President said.
Obama also praised President Biden for passing what he described as landmark legislation on infrastructure rebuilding and climate change.
“At a time when our economy was reeling, he drove what would become the world’s strongest recovery – with 17 million new jobs, historic wage gains, and lower health care costs. He passed landmark legislation to rebuild our nation’s infrastructure and address the threat of climate change.
I’m grateful to Joe for his leadership, his friendship, and his lifetime of service to this country we love”.
After serving for a single term as President, Democrats Joe Biden will on 20th January, 2015 handover to Republican Donald Trump following a historic United States’ election held last November.
