The first President of Namibia, Mr. Sam Nujoma has died at the age of 95 in a Windhoek hospital. This was announced by President Nangole Mumba.
Nujoma, who led between 1960 and 1989, guided Namibia Liberation struggle and became the country’s first President in 1960. He served as head of state until 2005.
The outpouring of tributes from Africans show acknowledgment of his leadership style in Namibia.
