His Excellecncy, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has approved the award of a contract for the dualization of Sokoto Road, starting from Jabiri Road (Zaria Road) to the central mosque roundabout and ends at Unguwar Dahiru.
The road is estimated to be about 5.9 kilometers in Funtua Local Government.
This project according to the government aims at enhancing the free flow of traffic while improving accessibility for residents and visitors alike.
Additionally, the project is expected to stimulate local economic activities by facilitating easier movement of goods and services.
The construction is set to begin within the next few weeks, with a completion timeline that aims to minimize disruption to daily commuters.
