In a momentous 29th/30th combined convocation ceremony, Barr. Onofiok Luke, International President of the University of Uyo Alumni Association, officially inducted 10,835 new members into the alumni body.
Administering the oath of allegiance, Luke encouraged the graduating students to uphold the values of the University of Uyo and to seek meaningful ways of giving back.
To further inspire academic excellence, the alumni association initiated an annual award of Two Hundred Thousand Naira (200,000) only, for the best graduating students of each faculty, which is applied to the 29th/30th combined convocation beneficiaries.
The ceremony which held at the 1,000 Seater-Capacity TETfund Auditorium, Nwaniba Road, Uyo was marked by the conferment of First Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates.
