Akwa Ibom mourns again, as Gov Eno’s aide buries 26yrs old son

 

 

 

It was agony and tears as Oron Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State was thrown into mourning following the sudden demise of Engr Emmanuel Ekpenyong, who passed away at the age of 26. The news of his death has left his family, friends, and community in deep sorrow.

Until his untimely departure, the late Engr Emmanuel Ekpenyong. was an Engineer and The deceased was son to Hon. Alice Ekpenyong, Special Adviser, Bureau of Cooperatives and Rural Development to Governor Umo Eno,

The funeral service, held at Family Compound, No. 9B Louis Ating Lane, Oron, Akwa Ibom State, amidst a solemn atmosphere, witnessed the attendance of a cross-section of individuals, including family members, the political class, colleagues, friends, associates, and sympathizers. Their presence showed a profound impact the deceased had on those around him.

For the family, the loss was a painful, horrible, and heavy heart-breaking moment. The late Emmanuel’s passing has left a void that words cannot fill, as they described him as a growing star for ever.

In a tribute, the elders said, “This is a tragedy we never anticipated. Emmanuel was a loving son of the family and closely tied to their beloved mother, a devoted brother, and a compassionate brother to all. We are shattered by this loss, but we find solace in the legacy of love, smiles and dedication he left behind.”

As the community mourns, the memory of Emmanuel Ekpenyong. remains etched in the hearts of all who knew him. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

It would be recalled that Gov Umo Eno had last year, lost his dear wife and First Lady of the state, Her Excellency, Late Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno to the cold hands of death.

Few months later, the state was thrown into another mourning as the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Sen. Akon Eyakanyi also lost her young daughter during childbirth. She died few months after wedding.
