When lust enters the bed, it stops being a place of rest-it becomes a spiritual altar where destinies bleed, covenants are broken, and demons feast.
INTRODUCTION:
Have we ever truly asked what becomes of a bed when it is used outside of God’s covenant? Is it still just a bed… or has it become something more sinister?
Scripture warns us in chilling terms: “Can a man carry fire in his bosom and his clothes not be burned?” That bed, meant for rest and communion, becomes an altar-and not all altars speak peace. Some groan with blood. Some demand retribution.
Job, a righteous man, once declared, “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman” (Job 31:1). Why? Because one lustful glance, one fleeting indulgence, can build an altar-and every altar requires a sacrifice.
MESSAGE:
Fornication and adultery don’t just stain the body-they trade away treasures of the soul. Every sexual sin is a transaction, and the devil never bargains fairly.
What’s given away?
Purity. Peace. Power. Protection. Purpose.
And what’s gained?
Shame. Fear. Nightmares. Delay. Demonic visitation.
That fleeting pleasure? It came at a price.
That orgasm? It wasn’t just a release-it was a ritual.
That bed? It wasn’t just comfort-it became a cursed altar.
And on that altar, something died.
Perhaps your joy.
Perhaps your speed.
Perhaps your favor.
Perhaps your future.
1 Corinthians 6:18 (NIV) warns, “Flee from sexual immorality… whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.”
Many are not burning from a lack of prayer-they are burning because they carried fire into a strange bed. They lit a fire on a forbidden altar, and now wonder why the flames won’t go out.
The devil does not need your verbal consent when your body becomes his offering.
