Operatives and men of the Nigeria Police, Akwa Ibom State Command have arrested three employees of an Electrical Company for allegedly stealing company wires.
This was confirmed via a press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Akwa Ibom State Command, DSP Timfon John.
“Acting on credible information, the suspects were apprehended while unlawfully removing and concealing electrical wires belonging to the company”, the statement noted.
According to the release “The suspects are: Excellent Victor ‘m’, Favour Kpenu ‘m’, Francis Amos ‘m’”.
Noting that the suspects have confesssed to the crime, the release further added that they would be charged to court upon completion of investigation and re-echoed the Command’s readiness to upholding law and order in the state.
“Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime and further investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement. They will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammed Azare, fsi, has reiterated the Command’s commitment to upholding law and order, warning that criminal acts will not be condoned in any form.
The Command urges members of the public to report suspicious activities promptly to aid ongoing efforts in crime prevention”, the statement concluded.
