About a week after his suspension by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has made his first public appearance.
According to reports, the suspended governor attended a church service at the Salvation Ministries Church located around GRA, Port Harcourt on Sunday morning.
It would be recalled that following a protracted faceoff between the embattled governor and the leadership and members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, the President last week, declared a state of emergency and suspended both the governor and the state’s legislature.
After his suspension, Fubara was speculated to have sought asylum in the Bayelsa state Government House, Yenogoa.
His appearance has however put to rest this speculations and rumours.
