A young man allegedly notorious for acts of vandalism has reportedly died after being electrocuted while trying to vandalize a transformer in Eket, Akwa Ibom State.
According to a social media post by Itoro Etti, the deceased vandal known as Princewill lost his life while stealing from a transformer at Ikot Ibiok.
The post reads “Things are happening. Notorious Eket transformer vandal, Princewill electrocuted at transformer site
Princewill, according to the report, attempted to vandalise a transformer at Part House Road, opposite St. Stephen Catholic Church, Ikot Ibiok, when he met his Waterloo”.
There have been cases of vandalism of electricity installations in Uyo and some major communities in Akwa Ibom State.
As at the time of this report, the Police and the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company have yet to issue statements on the matter.
