THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The wicked may hide the truth for a season, but the burden of confession will torment them until they speak.
INTRODUCTION:
There is a cry in the hearts of many: O Lord, let those who have lied against me be made to confess with their own lips! Joseph’s brothers never imagined that a day would come when they would stand before their father, trembling, forced to undo the very lie they once told.
It was easy to deceive, but when the time of reckoning arrived, they had to admit the truth: Joseph was not dead. They had sold him into slavery, and now, the very one they betrayed ruled over them. What a painful moment it must have been to confess! May God compel every enemy of your destiny into a place of confession!
MAIN MESSAGE:
For years, Jacob wept for a son he believed was dead. His mourning was fueled by deception-one orchestrated by his own children. Meanwhile, in Egypt, Joseph was not just alive; he was thriving, ruling, and holding power over the very ones who betrayed him.
The wicked believe their lies will last forever, but God is a God of revelation! No lie can outlive His truth. Psalm 64:8 declares: “So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.”
When the time of divine confrontation comes, it is not the righteous who tremble-it is the deceivers! Imagine Joseph’s brothers, walking back home after discovering the truth, stopping on the road, whispering to one another, strategizing: “What will we say? How will we explain this to our father?” The weight of their confession was unbearable, far greater than the deceit they once spun.
How do you tell a grieving father that his sorrow was unnecessary? That his weeping was caused by the very children he trusted? The burden of confession crushed them. The same mouths that once lied had no choice but to speak the truth.
Beloved, every hidden lie, every false accusation, every evil conspiracy against you will be exposed! Those who thought they had buried your destiny will be forced to acknowledge the mighty hand of God upon your life. Just as Joseph’s brothers were made to proclaim his greatness, so shall your adversaries be compelled to confess that the Lord is with you!
REFLECTION AND TAKEAWAY:
•May God cause those who have lied against you to confess openly!
•May every deceiver be trapped in the net of their own deception!
•Just as Joseph’s brothers stood trembling before the truth, may your adversaries have no peace until their falsehood is exposed!
•The same people who plotted your downfall will be forced to announce your rising!
PRAYER POINTS:
1. O Lord, push my enemies into the place of confession! Let every deceiver in my life be tormented until they speak the truth, in Jesus’ Name, Amen!
2. Father, let those who conspired against me become instruments of my announcement! Just as Joseph’s brothers were forced to proclaim his greatness, let my enemies proclaim my victory, in Jesus’ Name, Amen!
3.Lord Jesus, let the tongues of my adversaries fall upon themselves! Let every false witness against me be silenced by their own words. May they have no peace and no rest until the truth they buried is exposed and their deception undone, in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen!
