ORGANIC FRUITY ZOBO DRINK
INGREDIENTS:
•5 cups zobo leaves(hibiscus leaves)
•Water
•Ginger
•Pineapple
•Oranges
•Lemon grass
•Leaves Mint
•Cucumber
Date powder
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
1. First you wash the zobo leaves. That’s, place the hibiscus leaves into a bowl of water and then use your hands to take it out immediately.
2. Peel off the pineapple skins and set aside but don’t throw it away. Then cut the pineapple into chunks.
3. For the ginger, you can peel it if you want. Then cut them.
4. Wash the cucumber and chop it into bits.
5. Then cut the orange in quarters and remove the back and seed. Make sure you remove all the seed to avoid bitterness.
6. Place your hibiscus leaves into a pot together with the pineapple skin,pineapple chucks,cucumber slices,ginger,orange,ground cloves,lemon grass and mint.
7. Add some water,then cover the pot and allow it to simmer on a low heat for 25-30mins. So that all the ingredients have enough time to release their flavors.
8. Get the rest of your ingredients that is, pineapple,orange,ginger,ground cloves,mints and chop them then blend it it purée or a juicer to juice it.
9. After 30 mins take it off the heat and sieve it. Let it cool down.
10. If you like it sweet you can add date powder but the juice is a way to sweeten your zobo without any sugar.
11. Run the cooked zobo through the sieve to separate the shaft from the liquiany other sweetener of your choice.
14. Now pour the zobo in a container. Refrigerate or drink right away if cool off.
15. To serve right away you can add ice.
